Market Grounds for Sunday lunch

I’ve been the Market Grounds within the Kings Square improvement a variety of occasions within the eight months or so because it opened – it stays a powerful venue – each in measurement and in the usual of the food and drinks – making an allowance for all the time that the menu is nothing too progressive, however good pub fashion meals.

On this event we went for, on the one hand, a small basket of fried prawns – these have been plump, juicy and with a refreshingly recent crunch to the chew – with a small dish of dipping sauce they have been a satisfying small lunch time meal.

The second selection – a cheese burger – was a way more substantial dish – crisp buns full of thick, succulent beef patty, salad, melted cheese and mayo –fries and tomato dipping sauce. Good wanting and tasting dish.

They have a small however fairly affordable wine record – and our bottle of 2016 Snake and Herring Vamos Tempranillo with its cherry and blackcurrant aromas, and a plate bursting with black cherry, liquorice and prune flavours proved to be an excellent companion to the meals.

Once once more we loved our go to to Market Grounds – it’s definitely nicely positioned virtually alongside the Arena for concertgoers and Wildcat followers and large enough to cater for a big crowd- the food and drinks hit the spot, the employees are pleasant and professional – all in all a very good place to drop into.
