Perth’s latest luxurious lodge, on the nook of Barrack and Murray, has the town’s highest rooftop bar – with beautiful views throughout the Swan River, the CBD skyline, north in the direction of Northbridge and east to the hills and Swan Valley – and together with a nicely put collectively drinks record, considerate meals choices and pleasant arrange and décor makes for considered one of Perth’s “must go” locations.
Seating is out there inside nearer to the bar, or out of the open deck (retractable roof for inclement days) with engaging partitions of greenery to offer a cooling and welcoming impact. We tried each – beginning off within the recent air and after consuming, retiring inside to catch the view north and east and ending one other glass of wine whereas we did.
The bar bites menu has many tempting small dishes – and three have been greater than sufficient for we two – Crostini di Tonno – juicy tuna stomach tartare on toasted crostini accompanied by preserved lemon scatter of marjoram leaves and a mud of candy, earthy nora chilli.
Baby calamari, deep fried, got here with fried zucchini strips, mint and garlic aioli for dipping – crisply fried, tender inside.
And final, however under no circumstances least an excellent worth fish roll – polenta crumbed whiting in a toasted roll with caper, onion and parsley salad and aioli.
The wine listing is small however with a wide selection of primarily WA wines plus a few Eastern states drops and a pair extra from Italy and France. We loved a glass of Bondini prosecco from Italy, Trebbiano from slightly nearer to residence in Bella Ridge of the Swan Valley and the only rosé on the listing – a Nebbiolo and Barbera mix from Italy.
Rooftop at QT can be an enormous hit as spring and summer time progress – nice views, excellent food and drinks and nice surrounds.
