Vegan Magnum signals ‘increasing problem for dairy industry’, say farmers

A Unilever spokeswoman defined the Magnum Vegan has by no means been marketed or described as ice cream however fairly an “iced confection”.

The model’s two new flavours, the Magnum Vegan Classic and the Magnum Vegan Almond, are already obtainable all through Europe and in UK shops together with Tesco.

Watson added that the style and texture of vegan options to dairy have improved significantly through the years.

“I think coconut is the leader for what is the creamiest and most similar to dairy,” he stated.

“Once they’ve put sugar and flavours with it, as long as it’s got the same texture, it’s really not a significant difference.”

He stated that whereas the vegan Magnum might not encourage extra individuals to undertake vegan life, it might get them eager about plant-based options.
