The Brunch menu is indicative of the choices – many and diversified – and the Lot, a particularly giant serving of conventional breakfast dishes took some getting via. Smoked bacon, pork sausages, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash brown, house made baked beans and toast – an excellent worth meal.
Baked Spanish Eggs additionally proved a winner – eggs cooked in a pork and three bean ragu, with chorizo including a touch of delicate spice, spinach, fetta, avocado and ciabatta – one other generously sized and satisfying meal.
Something a bit totally different from the standard breakfast/brunch choices was a dish of hen pimped up with Malay spices, and served with a salad of cucumber, coriander, mint, sprouts, peanuts, purple cabbage and splashed with curry mayo – spot on!
The last dish of the day the Lot One Burger – a few juicy beef patties, melted smoked cheddar, onion jam and tomato served with crisp, floury chips. Very good, too.
