One of the highlights of a go to to the North Fremantle strip – centred on Queen Victoria Street – is the superb small bar, Mrs Brown. With its nod to Queen Victoria herself, the attention catching bar with its racks of wine towards uncovered brick partitions, to the nice and cozy and cozy, and suitably eclectic furnishings, to the sensible courtyard at the again – full with wooden hearth for these cooler nights – it has so much to supply.
All of the wines behind the bar can be found by the glass – no have to a written listing simply take a look at what’s on supply and place your order. For me that was the excellent Saperavi from Perth Hills producer, Side Project (a part of the Fairbrossen secure), whereas my eating chum opted for rosé from Lethbridge (close to Geelong) vineyard, Between Five Bells.
Then it was out to the courtyard, sitting beneath the timber, within the dappled daylight of a heat, sunny autumn day – good!
A smallish menu is on supply – cheeses, olives and the like – however with Flipside Burgers proper subsequent door, you’re welcome to order in one thing a bit of extra substantial.
Mrs Brown is a prime little bar – heat and welcoming employees, nice vary of wines by the glass, properly arrange and the courtyard is just the best (besides the unlucky leniency proven to people who smoke). Definitely get alongside and expertise it for your self.
